After 18 months apart, the Fargo-Moorhead Choral Artists are thrilled to present the first concert of our 2021-2022 season, “A Musical Awakening!”
The concert will open with a lively celebration of music, featuring Gwyneth Walker’s “Let Music Fill the Air,” John Rutter’s “Musica Dei Donum Optimi,” and Dan Forrest’s beloved “The Music of Living.” Each piece serves as a poignant reflection on the past year and a half, and how much we’ve missed creating music together.
Our first set will be followed by an emotional performance of Philip Stopford’s “Do Not Be Afraid” in memory of Rod Capistran, a long-time FMCA member who passed away in April 2021. Other program highlights include two psalms from Herbert Howells’ “Requiem” and three American folk hymns arranged by Ronald Staheli.
Join us at Trinity Lutheran Church as we rejoice once again in the beauty of shared music-making. Trinity Lutheran Church requires all present to be masked while in the building. Singers, staff, and audience members will be masked throughout the concert.
